A 54-year-old woman, Sulaimon Kudirat Aduni and 45-year-old Adindu Obinna Hycinth have been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) on charges of drug trafficking.  Kudirat who was on her way to London when she was nabbed has excreted 28 out of the 60 wraps of cocaine she swallowed, while Adindu has excreted 93 wraps.  The widow disclosed that she joined the drug trafficking gang after facing a hard time in her clothing business. The Federal Government is set to sanitise the social media space to curtail fake news and hate speech.   This was disclosed on Tuesday, October 29th by the Minister of Information and culture, Lai Mohammed at a press conference in Abuja. According to Mohammed, the Federal government will implement reforms in the broadcast industry and sanction any defaulting broadcast media. He added that the regulation will be in line with global best practices as obtainable in the United Kingdom, Singapore, and other countries. Mohammed said no responsible government would sit back and allow activities such as fake news and hate speech, which is capable of setting the country on fire, to continue unchecked.

A mother-of-three has died following breast enlargement and tummy tuck procedures on the advice of staff who told her it would be cheaper to have both done at the same time.   Late Louise Harvey, 36, died from blood clots following the surgeries carried out by Transform plastic surgery clinic at Riverside hospital in London. The beautician was not given a second dose of blood thinners despite medical notes indicating she had a significant family history of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a coroner said. Her mother Linda Harvey, 53, whose own mother died of blood clotting, said that her daughter was sent home without the necessary medication. It was reported that a second dose of anti-coagulant drugs to help thin the blood was 'crossed out' on her notes indicating she had been given the dosage. The Nigeria Governors' Forum (NGF) has reacted to the new minimum wage agreement between the federal government and organised labour, and according to them it only applies to federal government workers. Speaking after the Federal Executive Council directed the National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission and the ministry of labour to send the “consequential adjustments table” to states and local governments, NGF Chairman and Governor of Ekiti, Kayode Fayemi averred that the FEC does not determine what happens in states.  Fayemi also told newsmen at the end of a meeting with governors in Abuja on Monday October 28, that the Governors' forum will stick to what has been agreed in different states. “I am sure you know the FEC does not determine what happens in the states, the states have their own states executive councils and that is the highest decision-making body at the state level,” he said. “The forum (NGF) as the representative body of the states followed

US President Donald Trump has revealed the picture of the dog that chased ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi into the dead-end tunnel, where he detonated his suicide vest, killing himself and three children.   President Trump did not however name the military dog or the breed. The dog was wounded in the blast but is recovering, military sources said. The Instagram page of embattled Dubai-based Nigerian social media celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha a.k.a Mompha seems to have been deactivated days after he was arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over his alleged involvement in internet fraud and money laundering.  READ ALSO : Mompha's alleged Lebanese accomplice arrested in N1.8b Lagos home with charms  Though no official statement has been given for Mompha's sudden disappearance from the social media platform, this however came after his alleged Lebanese accomplice, Hamza Koudeih was arrested in his N1.8bn Lagos home alongside two other suspects.  The anti-graft agency has uncovered 51 bank accounts Mompha allegedly used for money laundering.  The five wristwatches recovered from him after his arrest on Tuesday October 22,  has also been found to be worth over N60 million rather than the N20 million earlier thought.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a Lebanese identified as Hamza Koudeih and two others suspected to be accomplices of Dubai-based Nigerian social media celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha a.k.a Mompha.  Operatives of the anti-graft agency arrested Koudeih after a three-hour stand-off at his N1.8 billion luxury apartment in the 33-storey Eko Atlantic Pearl Tower, Victoria Island, Lagos.
